NOTE THIS IS FOR V8.  THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN V8 AND V9 IS THE USER INTERFACE.

The qdPM User Manual is a guide for project managers in how to use qdPM.

It covers:

  1. Setting up Projects using your chosen methodology
  2. What Extra Fields might be useful
  3. How Project Comments can be used
  4. Hints on Document Control
  5. How to manage Tasks including monitoring Actual Time
  6. Effective ways to use Discussions
  7. How Tickets can be used
  8. An explanation of Reports

We recommend you read it before setting up your projects to maximize use of the available features.

It does not promise to be all things to all managers but it will get you thinking about how you might best use qdPM within your organization.

Best 10 bucks I've spent this week. The perspective is helpful and probably saved me 2 hours worth or trial and error. It will be part of our training project as a reference.

I'm finding qdPM to be light and fast. The document version technique in the manual is a smart way to leverage the system with minimal overhead. Thank you.

Wasn't sure if I was wasting my money on this. Not that it was a huge amount. But this manual is really good. It covers what it says it does and is really helpful in working out how to not just use qdPM but how to manage projects within a small company.

This is a great manual. It gave me ideas on how to use it in ways I had not thought of. I like the idea of how to do document control. That really helped a lot.
