Can't Login after success installation

Postby atkins » Thu May 16, 2013 5:38 pm

Hi,
I did not have any problem when install qdpm 8.1 under windows 7 with xampp 1.7.0. Now, I try to install under openSUSE 12.1 (Apache 2.2.21, PHP 5.3.8, mysql 5.3)
1) I got error : Access Denied - then I have to open .htaccess and disable #RewriteEngine On (Using # infront) or just delete this file then I am success install qdPM version 8.1
2) I got success installation
3) Login - whenever I enter admin@localhost.com with my password, it just return to login page, if enter wrong email or password, it will say: wrong password or user name
4) Check qdpm database and user table - I don't see admin was created
5) Add admin with admin@localhost.com with password (using password, blank, or SHA1 and try to login - still not work
Sometthing wrong from installation to database????

Thanks

I have the same issue. I'm trying to install it on a Ubuntu 12.04 in a lxc container.

The issue is that there is no entry in the users table initially.

But the admin user name and password are stored in clear in configuration table.

If I try to login with the correct admin user name and pass I simply get looped on the login page. If I try to use a random pass then I get the "incorrect username/password message".

Spent couple of hours on this stupid error and could find a fix... hopefully someone here might come up with a solution...

Best

Was there ever an answer for the session issue. I am having the same exact problem described here. In other thread the session starting is mentioned, but there is never any follow up.

I have used multiple browsers (IE10 and Chrome). I even tried rebooting the server just because I was out of ideas.

I know I am using the correct admin credentials because when i intentionally type in a bad password I get a proper authentication failure message.

What am I doing wrong. This is my second installation attempt.

I have exactly the same problem... CentOS 6 x64, tried the suggestions in this forum, nothing is working. The thing is, it works perfectly on my staging server, but doesn't work on my production server. Both server has the same version of PHP (5.6.26) and Apache (2.2.15), and when I run phpinfo(), exactly the same Session config parameters.

Anyone please?
